The first time I heard about NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) was, oh God, about fifteen years ago.
Yet it was only last year when I joined, and, interestingly, won.
Little did I know that what I was writing during that November wasn’t a novel or even a part of a novel, but a series of four full-length novels. Gosh. When I understood that, I timidly estimated the overall word count as 200 000. But already I have almost 150 000, and yet one of an important characters in the third book is not even introduced.
But what can I do? Story unfolds as it must, and even the author is not in a position to change it forcefully. I only hope this November I will write enough to fill all the major gaps in the plot. Yeah, let’s hope that.
